Privacy

Acolytes of Fire is a small, volunteer-run, non-commercial community. This page says what this website actually does with information. It isn’t legal advice, and it describes the site as it works today.

Just visiting

  • The public pages set no cookies, run no analytics or advertising trackers, and load nothing from other companies’ servers — even the fonts are our own.
  • Like every web server, ours (our hosting provider) keeps ordinary access logs: your IP address, the page you asked for, and your browser type. We don’t use them to identify or profile anyone.
  • The server status board shows player counts only, never player names.

If you send us a message

  • The Support page asks for a name or in-game name, a way to reach you (a Discord name or an email), and your message. We store it so staff can answer you, and it appears in a private staff channel on our Discord as a ticket.
  • You get a private ticket link. Anyone who has the link can read that conversation, so keep it to yourself. If you gave an email, we email you only about that ticket (a confirmation, replies, and when it’s resolved).
  • To limit spam we keep a one-way scrambled fingerprint of your IP address (not the address itself) to count how many messages one visitor sends in a day.
  • We keep tickets for as long as they’re useful for running the community. You can ask us to delete yours at any time — send us a message or ask in Discord.
  • Please don’t put passwords in a message. Nobody on our team will ever ask for yours.

Staff

  • Staff sign in to a private area. That uses a cookie that is only set for staff sign-ins, and a record of who did what is kept for the team.

Our Discord

Joining our Discord is covered by Discord’s own terms and privacy policy, and by our rules.
